SONDERN ihn als einen der wenigen wahren Vorbilder mit Stärken und Schwächen und einem moralischem Gewissen angesehen, der den Sport nutzte um Schwachen und Hilflosen über das Boxen hinaus ein Gehör zu verschaffen. Bill Russell sagte 1967. “I’m not worried about Muhammad Ali. I’m worried about the rest of us.” Diese Worte könnten heute nicht passender sein.
